JOB TITLE: Senior Director of Software Engineering - CI&A Biometric & Externalization The Senior Director of Software Engineering - CI&A Biometric & Externalization leads multiple technical areas and departments within the Connected Commerce Technology organization. This leader manages multi-department strategies for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation to improve speed, scalability, and reliability. Key responsibilities include overseeing cross-product collaborations, establishing guardrails for security and traceability, and driving cross-domain reuse. The role requires expertise in designing cross-channel biometric platforms featuring voice, face, iris, and palm modalities with integration across IVR, mobile SDKs, and kiosks. Candidates must possess skills in biometric performance measurement, presentation attack detection, and responsible AI risk controls. The work involves engineering end-to-end identity lifecycles, managing fraud-first adversarial threat models, and ensuring privacy and regulatory readiness for biometric data across complex, matrixed environments.

What you'll do

Lead multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve firmwide technology objectives.
Set and scale multi-department strategies for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation.
Establish portfolio-level standards for AI-orchestrated delivery workflows, release governance, and automated test modernization.
Apply software development life cycle toolchain knowledge to drive cross-domain reuse and measurable capacity outcomes.
Provide high-level direction to teams and oversee employee populations across multiple platforms and divisions.
Act as the primary interface with senior leaders and stakeholders to drive consensus across competing objectives.
Design and scale cross-channel biometric platforms including common APIs, shared policies, and telemetry.
Define and implement presentation attack detection and adversarial threat models with a fraud-first mindset.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within a domain of expertise.
Experience designing and scaling a cross-channel biometric platform with common APIs, shared policy, and modality-specific adapters.
Fluency in biometric operations, performance measurement, and running A/B tests while protecting customer experience.
Experience implementing presentation attack detection and adversarial threat models with a fraud-first mindset across multiple modalities.
Knowledge of responsible biometrics practices, including bias mitigation, accessibility requirements, and privacy/regulatory readiness.
Experience engineering end-to-end identity lifecycles for biometrics, including secure enrollment, account binding, and secure recovery.
Experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering operating models and responsible AI risk controls.
