What you'll do

Build and lead the engineering organization by managing hiring, structure, culture, and performance for a multi-manager team.
Drive the core platform roadmap including data ingestion pipelines, dependency graph modeling, and firm-wide integration.
Make key architectural decisions on a modern AWS and Java stack to support firm-wide scale.
Set strategy and operating standards for agentic AI-enabled engineering to improve delivery speed and code quality.
Define guardrails for AI validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across various teams and functions.
Represent engineering in cross-functional discussions with security, risk, compliance, and other platform partners.
Translate deep technical work into business impact for senior stakeholders across the organization.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within a domain of expertise.
Experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering operating models and defining governance.
Deep understanding of responsible AI risk, controls, and resiliency/security expectations at scale.
Proven track record of shipping Version 1 products from concept through first release.
Practical experience with AI-first development practices using LLMs and agentic tools.
Experience developing or leading large or cross-functional teams of technologists.
Extensive practical cloud native experience with AWS.
Experience in customer-facing, data-intensive products (preferred).
Financial services or other regulated industry experience (preferred).
