Senior Director, Network Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead the long-term strategy and roadmap for the Physical Network Engineering organization.
• Manage network engineering teams by overseeing hiring, organizational planning, and performance management.
• Define network product requirements and advancements in coordination with product teams.
• Drive the execution roadmap for sub-teams by defining critical metrics for decision-making.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships to negotiate pricing, hardware delivery, and software licensing.
• Provide regular updates to executive management to influence the infrastructure portfolio.
• Mentor and coach area leaders, senior technical staff, and program managers.
• Develop processes to optimize network performance for cloud workloads and new SKU launches.

What we're looking for

• Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
• 10+ years of experience as a technical contributor, manager, and/or business leader is required.
• Experience leading networking engineering architecture, design practices, and organizational management is required.
• Thorough understanding of cloud networking technologies including protocols, automation, telemetry, and hardware platforms is required.
• Understanding of software design and the ability to build software platforms and solutions is required.
• Experience working in a large ISP or cloud provider environment (preferred).
• Experience with AI infrastructure, optical transport, and automation systems (preferred).
