The Senior Director, Data Center Operations will lead a large-scale organization of approximately 250 people to manage data center operations across a major North America site. This role involves building the operating model, systems, and processes required to support a complex, growing infrastructure footprint. Key responsibilities include overseeing technician organizations for hardware deployment, break/fix activities, GPU rack installation, and compute infrastructure connectivity. The successful candidate will drive the new product introduction process strategy and establish world-class spare parts and inventory management. Required competencies include expertise in data center operations, enterprise IT infrastructure, information technology infrastructure management, and server hardware. The role requires a software and automation mindset to improve throughput, reliability, and speed while managing the end-to-end data center lifecycle for cloud and AI infrastructure.
Lead large-scale data center operations spanning deployment and ongoing production across North American sites.
Build the operating model, systems, and processes required to manage a complex data center footprint.
Create a scalable environment using automation, tooling, and processes to enable growth without increasing headcount.
Oversee technician organizations responsible for hardware deployment, break/fix, GPU rack installation, and connectivity.
Develop and drive the New Product Introduction (NPI) process strategy for new infrastructure technologies.
Establish world-class spare parts and inventory management capabilities to ensure hardware availability.
Identify opportunities to remove manual work by applying a software and automation mindset to operations.
Develop the leadership bench and organizational capabilities required to support continued infrastructure growth.
What we're looking for
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Significant experience leading large-scale, people-intensive operations in data centers, cloud infrastructure, fulfillment, logistics, or manufacturing.
Proven experience operating at hyperscale and building systems that allow organizations to grow without proportional headcount increases.
Demonstrated ability to design operating models that manage work, capacity, throughput, productivity, quality, and performance systematically.
Strong systems and software mindset with a track record of using automation, tooling, data, and process engineering to improve performance.
Deep experience in data center hardware operations, including deployment, break/fix, compute infrastructure, GPU rack deployment, and inventory management.
Technical depth to engage effectively with engineering and infrastructure teams regarding evolving compute and GPU architectures.
Experience developing or scaling new product introduction (NPI) processes in complex infrastructure or hardware environments.
