Senior Design Technologist, Design Systems

What you'll do

• Translate design intent into scalable, system-driven UI components and architecture.
• Integrate AI into design system workflows for token generation, component scaffolding, and automation.
• Build and maintain a multi-platform design system with reusable libraries and documentation.
• Ensure consistency between design artifacts in Figma and production code.
• Develop internal tools, scripts, and plugins to optimize design-to-code workflows.
• Champion accessibility standards and responsible AI practices, including bias mitigation and transparency.
• Partner with engineering to ensure performant, accessible, and high-quality UI implementations.
• Conduct audits of UI quality and AI-assisted outputs for usability and accuracy.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of experience in a relevant role such as a design technologist, UX/UI engineer, or product designer.
• Experience in enterprise, platforms, and/or internal tools (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI into design workflows to test ideas and communicate solutions.
• Expert proficiency with Figma, including variable maintenance, components, styles, and shared libraries.
• Experience creating and maintaining component libraries.
• Strong front-end development skills in a major framework including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of design systems, component architecture, and design tokens.
• Proficiency using an IDE such as Cursor or Claude.
• Familiarity with current AI capabilities including generative AI, LLMs, and multimodal systems.
• Understanding of prompt design, structured outputs, or API-based AI integrations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience collaborating with cross-functional partners.
