Senior Database Developer

What you'll do

• Develop high-quality applications for the financial trading industry using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Write and maintain stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and manage database privileges.
• Optimize performance of stored procedures and database objects through query tuning and indexing strategies.
• Execute ETL processes to load large volumes of data at speed using tools like SQL Loader.
• Perform data analysis and design solutions for Capital Markets and Securities Finance products.
• Manage and build out technical solutions for Stock Borrow Loan and Fully Paid Trading products.
• Operate within a Linux environment using basic Unix commands.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer.
• Strong RDBMS skills including SQL querying, stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and managing privileges.
• Experience optimizing performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and execution-plan analysis.
• Knowledge of ETL processes to load large volumes of data at speed, such as SQL Loader.
• Experience in a Linux environment with knowledge of basic Unix commands.
• Experience working with teams in an Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of Core Java, Python, and scheduling tools like Control-M (preferred).
• AWS Cloud experience (preferred); 5+ years in the financial industry (preferred).
