What you'll do

Design and implement scalable components for distributed systems using distributed state management tools.
Optimize code and infrastructure for high-volume data retrieval, storage, and processing.
Build fault-tolerant systems by implementing redundancy, replication, circuit breakers, and automatic failover mechanisms.
Develop monitoring tools including custom dashboards, telemetry systems, and automated alerting configurations.
Create automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline troubleshooting and maintenance.
Participate in incident response rotations, perform root cause analysis, and author operational runbooks.
Implement advanced security controls such as encryption and access management for multi-tenant environments.
Conduct performance testing and fault-injection scenarios to ensure system correctness and reliability.

What we're looking for

Must have 5+ years of professional software development experience in distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, or Python.
Experience designing APIs, data models, and service architectures with a focus on scalability, availability, security, and operability.
Solid understanding of cloud-native systems including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering.
Strong understanding of distributed-systems fundamentals, including consistency tradeoffs, failure handling, concurrency, and resilient design.
Experience with code review, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
Ability to drive work from problem definition through design, implementation, launch, and ongoing operation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across engineering disciplines.
