Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and implement components for distributed systems that support horizontal and vertical scaling.
• Optimize code and systems for large-scale data processing and retrieval.
• Build fault-tolerant components using redundancy, replication, and automatic failover mechanisms.
• Implement tests, alarm configurations, and telemetry systems to monitor component health.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve issues in system components to ensure continuous operation.
• Design and implement automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud management.
• Apply security measures such as encryption and access controls in multi-tenant environments.
• Execute performance and load testing, including fault-injection and brown-out scenarios.

What we're looking for

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale production systems with 1000+ server instances.
• Deep understanding of operating systems, computer networks, and high-performance applications.
• Strong background in Linux systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C, C++, GoLang, or shell scripting.
• Familiarity with system-level architecture, data synchronization, fault tolerance, and state management (preferred).
• General enterprise storage, networking, or computing experience (preferred).
• Good understanding of databases and SQL (MySQL) and caching technologies like Redis or Memcache (preferred).
