What you'll do

Design and develop major components of the OCI Virtual Machine dataplane.
Build and maintain core virtualization and host-side systems using QEMU/KVM and Oracle Linux.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the Linux kernel, userspace, and networking stacks.
Optimize performance and ensure security isolation for multi-tenant cloud environments.
Implement features for host networking, storage integration, and distributed control interactions.
Perform deep system debugging and performance tuning using tools like perf, ftrace, and eBPF.
Develop automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to ensure infrastructure reliability.

What we're looking for

BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
3 to 5+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available systems like cloud or virtualization platforms.
Proficiency in Java, C/C++, or Go, along with scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Perl.
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix fundamentals including processes, memory, filesystems, cgroups, and namespaces.
Familiarity with networking (TCP/IP, routing, DNS, HTTP) and storage systems.
Experience with virtualization technologies such as QEMU/KVM, libvirt, and virtio.
Proficiency in using host/kernel observability and debugging tools like perf, ftrace, eBPF, gdb, and strace.
Strong communication skills to explain complex technical topics clearly in an agile environment.
