Senior Cloud Software Engineer, Find My joins the Find My team to build a secure and private experience for users to locate devices and share locations. As a senior engineer, you will architect and implement highly available, large-scale deployment solutions while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to design and code reviews. You will focus on building tools to tackle complex distributed systems challenges and scaling microservices. The role requires expertise in Java, Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling. Key technologies include Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and various cloud architectures. You must possess deep knowledge of network security, encryption, IAM roles, and secret management tools like HashiCorp Vault. Additionally, you will utilize observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Splunk to ensure system stability for the Find My product.

Develop and integrate microservices to support the Find My product features.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
3+ years of strong software development experience and 5+ years of experience working with cloud architectures.
Proficiency in Java and the ability to learn other languages like Python, Go, or Bash for automation.
Hands-on experience managing cloud architectures, including networking and native services.
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, container runtimes, and package management via technologies like Helm.
Proficiency with Terraform or similar technologies for writing modular, reusable code in multi-environment setups.
Deep understanding of network security, firewalls, encryption, IAM roles, and secret management tools.
Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Splunk; experience with microservices; and multi-cloud environments (preferred).
