What you'll do

  • Lead a team of 3–5 cloud engineers by providing technical guidance, coaching, and professional development support.
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable GCP solutions with a focus on security and automation.
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, Spacelift, and Python/Pulumi.
  • Create and promote reusable GCP cloud design patterns in partnership with development teams.
  • Architect standards for the deployment and management of global GCP infrastructure.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for operational issues and support the on-call engineering team.
  • Identify and prioritize continuous improvement initiatives to maintain modern, secure cloud environments.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years experience, Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 1+ year in cloud/infrastructure roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role managing engineering teams.
  • Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design and operate production-grade environments.
  • Experience building and deploying infrastructure using tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi.
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language, with Python strongly preferred for automation.
  • Expert knowledge of IaC in DevOps, Spacelift, Ansible, or advanced GCP networking and security (preferred).
  • Experience qualifying cloud services for GxP or other highly regulated environments (preferred).
  • Work authorization in the United States.
