JOB TITLE: Platform Engineer
The Platform Engineer joins the Cloud Engineering team as an individual contributor to design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure and foundational services for financial products. You will work under senior technical leaders to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. Key responsibilities include provisioning resources using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices, building reusable modules, and developing CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions. You will manage services including GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and VPC networking while enforcing security best practices like IAM policies and encryption. The role requires proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automation. You will solve technical problems related to infrastructure reliability, cost optimization, and disaster recovery within a regulated financial services environment.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience).
3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps.
Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform, specifically GCP (preferred) or AWS.
Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, modules, state management, and workspaces.
Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes/GKE.
Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation, particularly GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.
Cloud certifications such as GCP Associate/Professional Cloud Engineer or AWS Cloud Practitioner/Solutions Architect Associate (preferred).
