The role focuses on the technical challenges of scaling a secure digital wallet infrastructure for payments, transit, and identity.

What you'll do

Design and deliver end-to-end platform capabilities from initial requirement gathering to production deployment.
Set technical direction for multi-quarter initiatives while aligning engineering, security, and SRE partners on shared outcomes.
Architect and evolve "platform-as-a-product" offerings to reduce friction for internal developer teams.
Implement security-first patterns and policy-as-code controls using tools like Kyverno and OPA.
Solve complex infrastructure problems using a mix of open-source and in-house tooling.
Scale existing technologies and shepherd new innovations from experimental stages to production-grade adoption.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design partnerships, and targeted coaching.
Evangelize next-generation cloud and DevOps practices across the organization to build technical credibility.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of Cloud infrastructure and platform engineering experience owning systems end-to-end in production.
10+ years of work experience is highly desirable.
Experience building platforms as products with a focus on internal developer experience and paved roads.
Expertise in Kubernetes, containers, and managing multi-tenant, multi-cluster, and multi-region footprints.
Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code using Crossplane and Terraform to design composition and provider patterns.
Proficiency in security-first architecture with Policy as Code tools like Kyverno and OPA/Gatekeeper.
Expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, networking fundamentals, and Linux internals.
