Serve as a senior technical expert for BMS, EPMS, PLC, SCADA, and OT network systems supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
Lead complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action development for automation and integration issues.
Review and improve control logic, alarm philosophy, graphics, and configuration quality across multiple sites.
Provide technical leadership for commissioning, startup, retrofits, and upgrades of building automation systems.
Establish and enforce standards for automation architecture, cybersecurity practices, and operational supportability.
Act as the primary technical interface with vendors, system integrators, construction teams, and site stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers through coaching, design reviews, and sharing best practices in troubleshooting and engineering.
Identify systemic issues to improve standardization, scalability, and reliability across the automation portfolio.
What we're looking for
6 to 10 years of experience in building automation, controls engineering, industrial automation, instrumentation, OT systems, or mission-critical facility controls.
Experience supporting BMS, EPMS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial networking for mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
Knowledge of high-availability environments such as data centers, utilities, manufacturing, semiconductor, healthcare, or industrial plants.
Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions without formal people management authority.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls, Computer Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field (preferred).
Experience with major automation ecosystems such as Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Ignition, Niagara, Johnson Controls, or equivalent (preferred).
Experience with OT cybersecurity practices and frameworks such as IEC 62443 or NIST 800-82 (preferred).
OEM, platform, or advanced industry certifications in controls, networking, industrial cybersecurity, or BMS/SCADA systems (preferred).
