What you'll do

Design, develop, test, and maintain secure application software, services, APIs, and integrations.
Translate ambiguous requirements into scalable designs, implementation plans, and technical documentation.
Drive medium-sized features and quality improvements to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Lead code reviews and recommend improvements to development practices in designated areas.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, API, integration, and production issues.
Perform production support, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and observability improvements.
Partner with QA teams to define test strategies and ensure consistency across modules.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate cross-functionally on feature delivery and service improvements.

What we're looking for

U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance are required at hire.
8 years of software development experience, or a relevant degree combined with 2 to 4 years of experience, or a doctorate.
4 years of experience with programming and/or scripting languages.
3 years of experience with databases.
Experience with distributed systems, software engineering practices, API development, source control, debugging, and secure development.
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly through design documents, implementation notes, code reviews, and operational handoffs.
2 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and 4 years of software development.
