Join our team as an experienced Aircraft/Missile Systems Engineer at TSC, where you will lead systems engineering activities for advanced hypersonic vehicle development under the NRL/ONR FLASH program. Your daily tasks include defining performance requirements, integrating complex subsystems, and managing Technical Performance Metrics to ensure successful demonstration of flight systems. You will collaborate with aerodynamicists, Intelligence Community partners, and government scientists to assess system capabilities and adjust requirements accordingly. This role requires a deep understanding of missile or aircraft systems, GNC development, and experience in hypersonics. Ideal candidates have hands-on expertise in GNC systems, actuator technologies, power systems, telemetry, and flight test instrumentation, along with strong communication skills for interfacing with government sponsors and technical teams.

What you'll do

  • Lead specification and oversight of hypersonic vehicle procurement or build.
  • Develop and manage Technical Performance Metrics for vehicle development.
  • Collaborate with aerodynamicists to define Design Reference Missions.
  • Assess system capabilities against adversaries and adjust requirements accordingly.
  • Advise on system risks, maturation progress, and technical issues throughout development.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive systems engineering experience in missile or aircraft systems (20+ years).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Hands-on experience with GNC systems, actuator technologies, power systems, telemetry, and flight test instrumentation.
  • Experience working with hypersonics or established relationships at NAVAIR or NAVSEA.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills for interfacing with technical teams and senior decision-makers.
