Senior Manufacturing Engineer, High-Speed Missiles

What you'll do

• Design, commission, and optimize assembly lines, work cells, and floor layouts for hypersonic missile programs.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) during early development phases with design engineers.
• Develop and scale manufacturing processes for exotic materials, composite structures, and thermal protection systems.
• Architect, procure, and qualify custom assembly tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment to increase production throughput.
• Lead the transition of hardware from initial prototyping through low-rate and high-rate manufacturing scales.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering and production anomalies on the shop floor.
• Author technical standards including work instructions, manufacturing bills of materials (MBOMs), routing, and quality documentation.

What we're looking for

• Must have a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Must have at least 8 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field.
• Must be a U.S. Person to access export-controlled information and facilities.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Security clearance.
• Must have proven experience owning a new product introduction (NPI) or complex manufacturing process from cradle to grave.
• Must demonstrate ability to provide early-stage Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) feedback.
• Must be able to build manufacturing infrastructure, including floor layouts, work instructions, and custom tooling.
• Willingness to travel occasionally less than 10% of the time.
