TSC is seeking a Windows and Linux Systems Engineer to support our research and development efforts on site at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC. This candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, engineering and administration of Windows and Linux computing systems hardware, software and storage infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, integrates and implements new Windows and Linux server systems, applications and equipment to meet organizational needs and goals.
  • Resolves Windows and Linux system issues and requests from teams or specific users promptly and accurately. Acts as a subject-matter expert and technical support for Windows and Linux platform operating systems and applications across the organization
  • Architecting systems infrastructure solutions to deliver business applications and contenting to customers at low latency and high throughput
  • Designing, implementing and supporting Windows and Linux computing systems hardware and software infrastructure using the following service models: on premise, co-location data center facility.

Required Qualifications:

  • DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Security+ Certification
  • Proficiency with Network Configurations and architecture
  • Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills for both hardware and software
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a small team environment
  • Experience maintaining classified systems

In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is $92,000 – $153,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and may include equity or incentive compensation as part of the total rewards package.
