What you'll do

Write production-quality C++ and Python code for mission-critical systems and web applications.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and technical guidance.
Shape the technical direction of a small team while remaining hands-on in design and implementation.
Prototype state-of-the-art software solutions and guide them from initial prototype to tactical deployment.
Manage the full software development lifecycle including CI/CD, unit testing, and complex technical trade-offs.
Use high-fidelity modeling and simulation environments to quantify the benefits of new technologies.
Lead technical meetings, sprint planning, and customer engagements to ensure successful mission outcomes.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to colleagues, customers, and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience.
8+ years of software engineering experience.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for mission-critical systems.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership as a hands-on contributor.
Experience with large, complex codebases including CI/CD, unit testing, and git workflows.
Expertise in air and missile defense domains such as multi-target tracking, sensor fusion, or command-and-control systems.
Proficiency in applied mathematics (linear algebra, differential equations) and engineering concepts like control theory and signal processing.
