As a Security Consultant/IT Systems Admin, you will join the IBM Consulting team to maintain, secure, and enhance enterprise Linux systems within a multi-site, High-Performance Computing environment. You will perform day-to-day operations including installing, configuring, and patching Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems while ensuring compliance with organizational and government standards. Your work involves utilizing automation tools like Ansible, Satellite, and Insights to streamline configurations, alongside scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell. The role specifically supports semiconductor manufacturing operations and AI/ML workloads on GPU-enabled infrastructure. You will also manage network administration, monitor system health, and perform vulnerability scanning using SIEM platforms. This position requires operating within a regulated environment to solve complex compute needs for high-memory and parallel workloads while ensuring robust security across all hardware components.
Install, configure, maintain, and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems across on-site infrastructure.
Securely configure, patch, and monitor systems in accordance with organizational and government standards.
Use automation tools and scripts to standardize system configurations and reduce manual effort.
Monitor system health and performance while proactively troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Utilize security tools to identify vulnerabilities, evaluate risks, and implement necessary remediations.
Respond to system and security incidents by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
Support the operation of AI/ML workloads and GPU-enabled technologies within HPC environments.
Perform network administration tasks to support multi-site infrastructure requirements.

U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Experience using Red Hat tools such as Ansible, Satellite, Insights, or similar automation platforms.
Experience in data center, compute cluster, or high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
Proficiency in automating tasks using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Experience with security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and SIEM platforms in regulated environments.
Exposure to GPU-enabled systems and Linux-based workloads involving accelerators (preferred); CompTIA Security+ and ISC2 CISSP certifications (preferred).
