Scientist, Ground Systems Architect

What you'll do

• Lead the architecture, design, and technical execution of space ground systems for mission operations and command and control.
• Translate customer and mission needs into technical baselines, performance requirements, and system architecture solutions.
• Manage end-to-end requirements decomposition and verification using tools like DOORS and Jama.
• Apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies using CAMEO and MagicDraw to support system modeling and traceability.
• Conduct technical trade studies and design analyses to select ground system concepts and technologies.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the integration, testing, verification, and operational transition of complex ground systems.
• Identify and mitigate technical, integration, cost, and schedule risks throughout the system development lifecycle.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation including interface control documents, engineering specifications, and reports.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum of 16 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with space ground systems and space vehicle operation (preferred).
• Experience with space ground design, integration, and test (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
