What you'll do

  • Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and electronic aircraft systems to ensure defect-free operation.
  • Provide direct training to personnel on the installation and functional testing of electrical components.
  • Repair or replace defective components and wiring using professional splicing, soldering, and pinning techniques.
  • Set up and operate specialized test equipment to evaluate system performance and reliability.
  • Oversee compliance with engineering changes and modifications during aircraft maintenance.
  • Pre-inspect the work of others to ensure accuracy before final submission for approval.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation for all work performed on the aircraft.
  • Enforce company safety regulations, including FOD, tool control, and 5-S programs.

What we're looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Six years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or two years of accredited schooling and four years of related experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification (preferred).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, or environmental controls (preferred).
  • APU run qualification and engine run qualification (preferred).
