What you'll do

  • Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and electronic aircraft systems to ensure defect-free operation.
  • Install and functionally test electrical components according to engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Repair or replace defective components and wiring using professional splicing, soldering, and pinning techniques.
  • Set up and operate specialized test equipment to evaluate the performance and reliability of electronic systems.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation for all work performed on aircraft.
  • Pre-inspect the work of others to ensure compliance before final inspection submission.
  • Teach installation and troubleshooting processes to other team members to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Perform flight tests as required during aircraft certification and final phase testing.

What we're looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field are required.
  • Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of the experience requirement.
  • A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification (preferred).
  • Proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems such as hydraulics or flight controls (preferred).
  • APU run qualification and engine run qualification (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
