What you'll do

Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and electronic aircraft systems to ensure defect-free operation.
Install and functionally test electrical components according to engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
Repair or replace defective components and wiring using professional splicing, soldering, and pinning techniques.
Set up and operate specialized test equipment to evaluate the performance and reliability of electronic systems.
Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation for all work performed on aircraft.
Pre-inspect the work of others to ensure compliance before submitting for final inspection approval.
Teach installation and troubleshooting processes to other team members to ensure quality and efficiency.
Enforce company safety regulations, tool control programs, and foreign object debris (FOD) protocols.

What we're looking for

High School Diploma or GED required.
5 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field are required.
Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of the experience requirement.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Proficiency in English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding is required.
A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification (preferred).
Proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems like hydraulics or flight controls (preferred).
APU run qualification and engine run qualification (preferred).
