The role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematic diagrams to solve complex system discrepancies. Required skills include expertise in aviation electronics, with preferred certifications such as A&P, FCC, or NCATT for this specialized aerospace production environment.

What you'll do

  • Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and electronic aircraft systems to ensure defect-free operation.
  • Install and functionally test electrical components according to engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Repair or replace defective components and wiring using professional splicing, soldering, and pinning techniques.
  • Set up and operate specialized test equipment to evaluate the performance and reliability of electronic systems.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation for all work performed on aircraft.
  • Pre-inspect the work of others to ensure compliance before submitting for final inspection approval.
  • Teach installation and troubleshooting processes to other team members to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Enforce company safety regulations, tool control programs, and foreign object debris (FOD) protocols.

What we're looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field are required.
  • Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of the experience requirement.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding is required.
  • A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification (preferred).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems like hydraulics or flight controls (preferred).
  • APU run qualification and engine run qualification (preferred).
