RFIC Design Engineer As part of the wireless RFIC team, the RFIC Design Engineer is responsible for providing RFIC solutions for wireless SoCs and driving them toward mass production for wireless connectivity products. Required expertise includes analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design using tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre RF, Matlab, and EM simulation software. Experience is required in deep sub-micron RFCMOS technology to develop high-performance systems involving LNAs, PAs, mixers, and data converters.

What you'll do

Drive radio KPIs including power, area, and performance to meet specific product requirements.
Design and deliver radio transceiver building blocks such as TX, RX, and PLL-LOGen.
Develop RF and Analog loopbacks for system calibration and compensation.
Define block-level and high-level specifications for transmitter and receiver lineups.
Manage floorplan layout and verification to ensure successful tape-out of the design.
Correlate design measurements with silicon results to ensure compliance for volume production.
Address co-existence scenarios and requirements to meet wireless connectivity standards.

What we're looking for

BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Deep understanding of analog design concepts including noise, linearity, mismatch, stability, and other impairments.
Experience in Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre RF, Matlab, EM simulation (EMX, HFSS), and similar tools.
Direct experience crafting and bringing wireless transceivers into mass production using deep sub-micron RFCMOS technology.
Deep understanding of analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design including LNAs, PAs, PLL/VCO/DCO/LOGEN blocks, mixers, and data converters.
MSEE and PhD plus relevant industry experience (preferred).
10+ years of RF/analog and mixed-signal design experience in groundbreaking RF CMOS design (preferred).
Familiarity with wireless SoC integration flows, silicon characterization, and production test/QA methodologies (preferred).
