RFIC Design Engineer As part of the wireless RFIC team, you will architect, design, and validate radio transceivers integrated into wireless SoCs. You will provide designs for wireless SoC products, driving them through to mass production. Your daily responsibilities include performing transistor-level feasibility studies, power and area trade-off analyses, and simulations for building blocks such as TX, RX, and PLL-LOGen. You will also design RF and Analog loopbacks for calibration, address Co-Existence scenarios, and collaborate with test engineers on debugging and optimization. The role requires expertise in analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design, including LNAs, PAs, mixers, and data converters. Required tools include Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre RF, Matlab, and EM simulation tools like EMX or HFSS. You will solve complex technical challenges to improve wireless connectivity performance across various hardware elements.

What you'll do

Perform transistor-level feasibility studies and trade-off analyses for power, area, and performance.
Design and deliver radio transceiver building blocks including TX, RX, and PLL-LOGen components.
Develop RF and Analog loopbacks to facilitate calibration and compensation.
Design circuits to meet specific Co-Existence requirements for wireless systems.
Collaborate with RF Systems teams to define block-level specifications and distribute margin across the chain.
Partner with test engineers to debug, optimize, and correlate silicon measurements with design specifications.
Drive RFIC designs from initial concept through to mass production for consumer products.

What we're looking for

Bachelor of Science degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Expertise in analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design including LNAs, PAs, PLL/VCO/DCO/LOGEN blocks, mixers, and data converters.
Understanding of analog design concepts such as noise analysis, linearity, mismatch, stability, and other impairments.
Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre RF, Matlab, and EM simulation tools like EMX or HFSS.
Experience in silicon characterization and debugging.
MSEE and PhD degrees (preferred).
Deep experience crafting and bringing wireless transceivers into mass production (preferred).
Familiarity with mixed-signal mode verification methodology such as SystemVerilog, AMS, or Nanotime (preferred).
