RFIC Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Define and implement RFIC front-end models for transmit and receive chains from data converters to LNAs and PAs.
• Lead the development of area and power-efficient RFIC chips with integrated PLLs from concept to production.
• Explore architectures for mm-wave components including VCOs, mixers, phase shifters, and frequency multipliers.
• Design and simulate on-chip inductors, baluns, and power combiners using tools like EMX or HFSS.
• Perform circuit layout, RLC extraction, and post-layout simulations across various corners to ensure production robustness.
• Define analog/digital boundary requirements for circuit calibration, clock generation, and timing with the digital design team.
• Develop specific bench and production test plans for all designed RFIC components.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mm-Wave/RFIC design, preferably in an advanced node (preferred).
• Knowledge of current and upcoming RF standards in cellular (4G/5G NR), WiMAX, 802.11ad, microwave backhaul, or similar broadband wireless standards.
• Master's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Experience with RF transceiver architecture for beamforming systems and integrated RF transceiver chipsets (preferred).
• Experience with mm-wave circuit design/layout in FinFET, SOI, BiCMOS, and Bulk CMOS technologies (preferred).
