RF/Analog Mixed Signal Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Conduct transistor-level feasibility studies for various analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks.
• Design circuit blocks and document simulation results for formal design reviews.
• Drive mask designs and manage the implementation of layout views.
• Perform post-layout and top-level simulations to verify integration.
• Define production and bench-level test plans for silicon components.
• Conduct lab measurements to validate that performance meets specified requirements.
• Analyze yield and lab test results to identify and fix bugs.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of device physics as it applies to analog IC design.
• Proven track record of delivering silicon IPs with complete architecture, design, verification, and validation experience.
• Solid understanding of bandgaps, bias, opamps, switched-cap circuits, LDOs, low power oscillators, PLLs, VGAs, feedback, and compensation techniques.
• In-depth knowledge and analytical understanding of mixed-signal design techniques.
• Experience in top level verification methods incorporating block level schematics and behavioral models.
• Experience in C, Matlab, VerilogA, or Python modeling.
• Hands-on experience using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other tools to validate analog designs.
• Knowledge of high precision techniques in presence of device mismatch (preferred).
• Understanding of data converter architectures and design trade-offs (preferred).
• Experience in design for ESD compliance and safety (preferred).
• Experience in chip integration with Digital Design and Physical Design teams (preferred).
• Experience in ASIC design across different application fields (preferred).
• Experience working with production test engineers to produce test plans and design for testability details (preferred).
