What you'll do

  • Perform advanced engineering activities and projects involving control system hardware, software, and plant networking.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for generation facility control systems and process instrumentation.
  • Lead system-wide engineering initiatives and provide expert guidance on specialized technical areas.
  • Act as a design-basis delegated authority for official reviews and approvals of technical designs.
  • Mentor developing engineers and develop training programs within your specific area of expertise.
  • Develop and implement technical policies, procedures, and standards to address system-wide issues.
  • Resolve complex, unique problems requiring extensive specialized knowledge of equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Prepare and present complex technical subjects to senior management, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.

What we're looking for

  • Candidates must have engineering experience with an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree or with a master's/PhD.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology is acceptable if accompanied by a certified Professional Engineering license.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is preferred.
  • Candidates must possess expert knowledge of Generation Facility Control System Hardware and Software, including DCS and PLC.
  • Candidates must have expertise in control system tuning, troubleshooting, and plant networking hardware and architecture.
  • Experience in process instrumentation and technical leadership for project development and mentoring is required.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems using specialized knowledge of equipment and problem-solving techniques is required.
  • Must be able to communicate complex technical subjects clearly to senior management, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
