The Summer 2027 - IEF - Powerplant/Propulsion Engineer Collegiate Associate Intern joins the engineering team to contribute to technically challenging projects within the aerospace industry. What you'll do

Develop technical solutions for real-world engineering challenges within the powerplant and propulsion field.
Apply knowledge of turbine engine theory, operations, and nacelle or thrust reverser systems to projects.
Perform cause and effect analysis and conduct technical writing for engineering documentation.
Utilize CATIA software to support design and engineering tasks.
Use Matlab, Python, or VBA to solve complex engineering problems.
Conduct research and analysis related to aircraft systems engineering.
Participate in the development of advanced propulsion technologies for business jet aircraft.

What we're looking for

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding) and include it on the resume.
Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during the Summer 2027 semester.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Interest in and working knowledge of aircraft propulsion systems including turbine engine theory and operations (preferred).
Basic understanding of aircraft systems engineering (preferred).
Critical thinking, technical writing, cause and effect analysis, and understanding of probabilities (preferred).
Proficiency in CATIA, Matlab, Python, or VBA (preferred).
