Project Director, Peptide API

What you'll do

• Lead a team of professionals to achieve milestones for strategic peptide manufacturing projects in the United States.
• Manage complex capital projects to ensure timely delivery, cost control, and compliance with safety standards.
• Develop strategies for concept studies, basic and detailed design, equipment procurement, and construction services.
• Drive project transformations by implementing best-in-class technology, AI, and digitalization to reduce timelines.
• Oversee all project phases from initial business case development through contract negotiation and execution.
• Create risk management strategies and track KPIs to communicate performance and risks to steering committees.
• Develop sourcing strategies and manage relationships with consultants, engineering firms, and construction contractors.
• Produce financial analyses including ROI/NPV and long-range plans for manufacturing capacity and pipeline products.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA (preferred).
• Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Senior Engineering, Projects, or Operations Leader across multiple technologies.
• In-depth technical and operational expertise in Biologics BDS/BDP, Small Molecule API/OSD, Medical Device, and Packaging Operations.
• Proven leadership of large cross-functional teams and ability to communicate with senior leadership and executives.
• Outstanding negotiation skills and knowledge of Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Financials.
• Business acumen with direct financial planning, budgeting experience, and P&L responsibility.
• Ability to mentor and develop the next generation of leaders.
