Principal Peptide Process Engineer, Research Scientist II

What you'll do

• Design and optimize peptide synthesis manufacturing processes from laboratory development through commercialization.
• Resolve technical manufacturing issues and lead investigations into product failures in a commercial setting.
• Manage the technical transfer of API processes from development to manufacturing sites.
• Develop robust process steps to ensure safe, scalable production and continuous improvement.
• Lead cross-functional teams to align project goals with quality, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.
• Author regulatory documents, technical publications, and patent applications for new products.
• Establish project operation criteria and technical standards to ensure product quality and cost control.
• Mentor and guide scientific personnel while providing expert advice on emerging technology trends.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field with 16 years of experience; Master’s with 14 years; or PhD with 8 years of experience.
• Experience and/or education with API and/or natural product processes in pharmaceuticals.
• Peptide development and/or manufacturing experience.
• Proven ability to innovate with a history of new or improved product releases.
• Ability to lead technical investigative troubleshooting of product failures and recommend remediation.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in multi-disciplinary environments and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience as a primary author of publications, presentations, regulatory documents, or as a primary inventor of patents.
