Program Manager, FAA Compliance

What you'll do

• Manage all FAA compliance and airspace authorization efforts for the Test & Evaluation team.
• Develop and maintain compliance programs to ensure adherence to FAA regulations like Part 21, 91, 107, and 135.
• Prepare and submit regulatory applications including COAs, 44807 exemptions, and various waivers or authorizations.
• Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA, Department of Defense, and other regulatory bodies for flight approvals.
• Coordinate non-FAA requirements such as radio frequency and spectrum authorizations to ensure concurrent approval.
• Develop compliance strategies for emerging technologies including autonomous systems and beyond visual line-of-sight operations.
• Track and report on regulatory metrics like submission volume, cycle times, and bottlenecks to company leadership.
• Support test site activation by managing airspace design, deconfliction, NOTAMs, and standing authorizations.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FAA regulatory compliance, certification, airworthiness, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulatory frameworks including COAs, 44807 exemptions, Part 91, Part 135, and Part 107 operations.
• Experience engaging directly with FAA representatives and other government agencies like the Department of Defense.
• Familiarity with autonomous systems, UAS, and emerging aviation technologies.
• Experience in defense-related aviation programs and interacting with DoD or other government agencies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills to draft regulatory submissions and manage cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret-Level security clearance.
