What you'll do

Lead overall program strategy and execution for a complex scientific computing environment supporting FDA researchers and laboratories.
Translate FDA scientific and regulatory mission needs into technical strategies, modernization plans, and investment priorities.
Serve as the primary client-facing leader to engage with FDA leadership and technical stakeholders.
Develop and maintain program plans, risk management processes, and governance frameworks aligned with agency expectations.
Oversee coordinated delivery across multiple workstreams including HPC, cloud services, cybersecurity, and bioinformatics support.
Ensure the reliability and scalability of computing services for genomics, AI/ML, modeling, and large-scale data analysis.
Lead strategic modernization initiatives such as HPC expansion and hybrid cloud integration.

What we're looking for

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust (MBI Full 5C T3).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Scientific Computing, or a related field.
12-15+ years of experience leading complex technical or scientific computing programs.
Experience working within the FDA or another federal scientific/public health organization.
Expertise in HPC, scientific data management, cloud computing, or advanced research computing environments.
Proven ability to manage program performance, risk, reporting, schedules, and contract deliverables.
PMP, PgMP, ITIL, or CSM certifications (preferred); experience with bioinformatics, genomics, or HHS EPLC frameworks (preferred).
