Product Support Specialist
The Product Support Specialist joins the Charles River Development team to provide functional application technical support for customers within the finance space. In this role, you will diagnose complex technical issues, resolve inquiries, and deliver user guidance and training regarding fixed income, derivative, and equity-related financial instrument workflows. You will manage high-impact issues, develop workarounds for third-party integrations, maintain accurate documentation, and mentor new hires to facilitate knowledge transfer. Serving as a liaison between clients, Product Management, and Engineering teams, you will identify product defects and contribute to system enhancements. The role requires expertise in the trade lifecycle, proficiency in SQL, and experience with OMS/EMS platforms. You must possess strong analytical skills and professional communication abilities to support institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge fund operations within a fast-paced environment.
Provide technical support by diagnosing issues, resolving inquiries, and delivering user guidance and training.
Investigate complex technical problems and third-party integrations to develop and test effective workarounds.
Support financial instrument workflows for fixed income, derivatives, and equities for institutional and wealth management clients.
Manage sensitive or high-impact client issues with professionalism while maintaining accurate documentation of resolutions.
Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams to report defects and prioritize system enhancements.
Mentor new hires and share subject matter expertise to support knowledge transfer across the organization.
Lead special projects and contribute to continuous process improvements to meet organizational objectives.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline like Finance, Economics, FinTech, or Computer Science.
Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) (preferred).
SIE, CFA, or FRM certifications (highly desirable).
4+ years of experience in financial technology including trading support, middle/back-office operations, fund accounting, technical consulting, OMS/EMS support, or front-office trading.
Familiarity with Charles River IMS or similar OMS/EMS platforms (preferred).
Strong knowledge of financial instruments and the trade lifecycle.
Basic working knowledge of SQL.
Excellent communication skills to engage senior stakeholders and gather requirements effectively.
