As a Product Engineer 5 within the Global Products Group, you will drive innovation in the design and engineering of etch and deposition products for the semiconductor industry. You will lead product development projects from prototyping through deployment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to guide specifications and improve product quality. Your daily responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments to resolve complex technical problems, providing troubleshooting and debugging support, and presenting technical recommendations clearly. The role requires high levels of customer engagement, including face-to-face interaction in cleanroom labs or semiconductor fab environments. You must possess exceptional analytical, experimental design, and problem-solving skills. Candidates should have a relevant advanced degree in fields such as Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering to address critical challenges in semiconductor equipment manufacturing.
Engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to resolve customer issues and improve product quality.
Lead product development projects from initial prototyping through deployment, release, and field support.
Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to solve complex technical problems independently.
Provide technical support for installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex product issues.
Present technical analyses and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
Guide the specification and development of products in coordination with cross-functional teams.

What we're looking for
Master's degree in a relevant engineering or science field with 8+ years of experience, or a PhD with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills.
Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Prior product design and technical engineer experience (preferred).
Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware and equipment (preferred).
Experience leading cross-functional teams (preferred).
