As a Product Engineer 4 within the Global Products Group, you will drive innovation in the design and engineering of etch and deposition products for the semiconductor industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to engineer process design solutions, resolve complex technical problems through experimental design, and support product development from prototyping through deployment and field support. Your daily work involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex equipment issues while providing technical recommendations to customers in both cleanroom labs and semiconductor fab environments. The role requires advanced analytical skills, creative problem-solving, and clear communication to guide product specifications. You will utilize expertise in material science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, optics, physics, or chemistry to address critical challenges in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring high product quality and successful technical integration for diverse customer needs.
Engineer innovative semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to resolve customer issues and improve product quality.
Support product development through prototyping, deployment, release, and initial field support.
Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to solve complex technical problems.
Provide technical support for installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.
Present technical analyses and recommendations clearly to internal teams and customers.
Guide the specification and development of products in collaboration with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
Engage directly with customers at their sites to provide real-time problem solving and support new product releases.
Work within cleanroom labs and customer semiconductor fabrication environments.
What we're looking for
Master's degree in a relevant engineering or science field with 6+ years of experience, or a PhD with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills.
Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Prior product design and technical engineer experience (preferred).
Experience designing, building, or maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware and equipment (preferred).
Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams (preferred).
