As a Product Director - Data Products within the Consumer & Community Banking Data Products team, you will own the vision, strategy, and delivery of cross-functional data products. You will lead empowered product teams using a continuous discovery model to validate problems before building solutions. Your daily work involves partnering with Engineering and Design to co-create solutions, converting validated opportunities into minimal lovable products, and managing product health across four risk dimensions. You will utilize skills in opportunity assessment, hypothesis-driven prototyping, and data governance in regulated environments. You must demonstrate technical fluency in APIs, data pipelines, and machine learning-powered experiences. This role solves the challenge of turning raw information into measurable business outcomes for Card, Home Lending, Auto, Wealth Management, and Connected Commerce.
Define and communicate a product vision for data products aligned with Consumer & Community Banking priorities.
Lead continuous discovery practices including problem framing, rapid prototyping, and high-velocity testing.
Partner with Engineering and Design to co-create solutions and commit to measurable business outcomes.
Convert validated opportunities into minimal lovable products that meet reliability and governance standards.
Align priorities and surface tradeoffs across multiple business lines including Card, Home Lending, and Wealth Management.
Instrument data products to track adoption, engagement, and business impact while managing product risk.
Develop AI-powered self-service tools to reduce time-to-insight and increase data-informed decision volume.
Establish and maintain data governance standards to ensure privacy, reliability, and compliance in a regulated environment.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on product engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
Proven track record of delivering measurable business outcomes through data, analytics, or self-service platform products at enterprise scale.
Deep expertise in discovery techniques including opportunity assessment, hypothesis-driven prototyping, and qualitative and quantitative testing methods.
Strong fluency in data concepts including customer segmentation, attribution modeling, experiment design, instrumentation, and data governance in regulated environments.
Demonstrated ability to align cross-functional leaders, resolve competing priorities, and drive decisions across multiple lines of business.
Technical fluency to collaborate with engineering teams on APIs, data pipelines, machine learning-powered experiences, and privacy architecture.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to frame complex problems and present decisions to senior stakeholders.
Experience building AI-powered or machine learning-integrated data products in a large financial services or similarly regulated enterprise (preferred).
