TL;DR · Product Design

Product Design, Entry-Level (2027 start) is a role within the design team where you will join one of several core teams including Consumer, Merchant, Dasher, Ads & Promos, or Customer Experience & Integrity. You will collaborate with product, research, data, and engineering teams to prototype concepts, test with real users, and ship improvements for millions of customers, merchants, and Dashers. The role focuses on creating a design practice where AI is native to the workflow. You will use Figma alongside AI-driven tools like Cursor and Claude Code to build high-fidelity prototypes and explore divergent directions. To succeed, you must demonstrate strong fundamentals in visual design, interaction design, and user-centered problem solving. This position addresses the challenge of making products more intuitive and human while integrating AI into the core design process.

What you'll do

  • Own the design process end-to-end from initial concept to final production.
  • Use AI tools to explore divergent directions and build high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Pressure-test product ideas before they are shipped to millions of users.
  • Create polished features for consumers, merchants, and Dashers across various core teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers to identify and solve the right problems.
  • Translate complex ideas into working experiences using Figma and AI-driven tools.
  • Iterate quickly on designs based on user testing and internal feedback.

What we're looking for

  • You must be graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design or a technology-related field by Summer 2027.
  • You must be available to start full-time work in 2027.
  • Your portfolio must demonstrate strong design fundamentals, including visual design, interaction design, and user-centered problem solving.
  • Your portfolio must include at least one case study showing how you applied AI in your design process or designed an AI-powered experience.
  • You must be able to communicate through prototypes using Figma and AI-driven tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
  • You should be comfortable making decisions, asking for help, and iterating quickly based on feedback.
