The ideal candidate utilizes techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, and Lean Manufacturing principles. Technical skills include experience with SQL databases, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP systems like NetSuite, and production simulation software such as Siemens Plant Simulation. The role requires technical proficiency in reading CAD data and understanding hardware manufacturing for electronics and mechanical components.
Monitor production line health and efficiency using metrics like cycle time, throughput, and first pass yield.
Create and maintain reports to communicate manufacturing performance across various departments and products.
Design new production lines and workstation layouts using Value Stream Mapping and Line Balancing techniques.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks caused by layout issues, parts shortages, or staffing constraints.
Analyze manufacturing data to provide actionable insights for Engineering, Supply Chain, and Growth teams.
Optimize manufacturing processes to ensure high quality, reliability, and speed for defense hardware.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export-controlled information and facilities.
Ability to start full-time in 2027.
Experience in high-rate manufacturing with complex mechanical/electrical assemblies and heavy data utilization (preferred).
Proficiency in factory design, value stream mapping, flow lines, and material flow systems (preferred).
Experience with production simulation software like Siemens Plant Simulation or Process Simulation (preferred).
Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP systems like NetSuite (preferred).
Technical ability to read CAD data and experience with SQL databases for tracking metrics (preferred).
