What you'll do

  • Conduct research, development, and evaluation for cutting-edge semiconductor equipment and systems.
  • Develop and sustain new processes to reduce production costs and increase yields.
  • Analyze test data to establish process specifications and determine next steps in development.
  • Review and enhance processing techniques used in product manufacturing and fabrication.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to process technicians during execution activities.
  • Partner with customers to introduce and drive the adoption of new technologies at their sites.
  • Contribute to the development and release of next-generation products for the semiconductor roadmap.

What we're looking for

  • A Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field with 8+ years of experience is required.
  • A PhD with 5+ years of experience is an acceptable educational and experience qualification.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process design, deposition, etch dielectrics, conductor, or metal films is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ECD, CVD, PECVD, or PVD processes is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and tools like JMP or Minitab is preferred.
  • Experience with material synthesis, characterization, surface preparation, and analytical techniques in a laboratory setting is preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently to Korea and proficiency in Korean is preferred.
