Process Engineer 2

What you'll do

• Develop and provide application support for metrology techniques including AFM, nanoindentation, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
• Own the development of metrology solutions for complex characterization challenges and next-generation technologies.
• Serve as a technical subject-matter expert for topography and material property characterization.
• Contribute to metrology strategy, capability expansion, and roadmap development across multiple platforms.
• Manage vendor engagements and lead escalations to ensure the productivity of metrology tools.
• Identify and implement innovative metrology solutions for emerging characterization challenges.
• Support advanced process research and development by characterizing and optimizing new technologies.

What we're looking for

• Master’s degree or PhD in Materials Science, Optics, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field with no previous professional experience.
• Equivalent professional experience to a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in advanced metrology and characterization techniques.
• Expertise in one or more areas such as AFM, nanoindentation, optical characterization, surface metrology, or materials analysis.
• Demonstrated technical depth in metrology application and solution development for complex characterization challenges.
• Proven experience in vendor management, including tool downtime and escalation management.
• Strong program and project management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Programming/scripting experience (preferred).
