What you'll do

Prototype and deploy next-generation metrology solutions for optical modules and components during the New Product Introduction phase.
Assess vendor capabilities and manufacturing feasibility to define technical specifications for high-performance metrology systems.
Define Engineering Requirement Specifications (ERS) for optical instruments and calibration systems.
Lead hardware and software validation and failure analysis using design of experiments, data analytics, and simulation.
Manage technology handoffs from research and pilot lines to manufacturing partners for mass production scaling.
Present engineering findings to multidisciplinary teams to drive technical direction and inform critical design decisions.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Optics, Physics, Opto-mechanics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in the development and/or high-volume deployment of electro-optical modules.
Experience in optical instrumentation, data collection, and automation using MATLAB, Python, C/C++, C#, LabVIEW, or equivalent.
Ph.D. or Master's degree in a related field (preferred).
Proven track record developing display or optical metrology systems (preferred).
Strong quantitative data and image analysis skills utilizing JMP, MATLAB, or similar tools (preferred).
Experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing including Six Sigma, P/T ratio, DoE, failure analysis, and system trade-offs (preferred).
Domain expertise in in-line metrology, wavefront measurement, PSF/MTF modeling, or color science (preferred).
