What you'll do

  • Design and deliver complex, enterprise-scale solutions for lending and credit card platforms.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs focusing on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Lead the development of cloud-ready financial solutions using modern application architectures and integrations.
  • Develop and troubleshoot APIs and enterprise integrations to power critical member experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify complex systems and implement modern engineering practices for better efficiency.
  • Analyze production challenges and lead efforts to improve operational stability and system reliability.
  • Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts to solve complex business challenges and advance technology capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to engineers across the organization.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of information technology experience with demonstrated expertise in application design required.
  • Experience with financial products such as credit cards, mortgages, loans, or deposits is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in consumer financial products with expertise in UX, integration, and API layers required.
  • Experience with public cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud) including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings required.
  • Experience leading and collaborating with multiple teams for enterprise-wide initiatives through all aspects of the SDLC required.
  • Experience with .NET, C#, Node.js, Python, or modern JavaScript frameworks; system administration; SOA patterns; and CI/CD tools (preferred).
