Staff Software Developer, AI Innovation Team

What you'll do

• Lead the technical direction and expansion of new AI products for member support.
• Design and develop scalable, cloud-agnostic systems using Python, AWS, LLMs, and retrieval-based architectures.
• Strengthen underlying infrastructure including data organization, segmentation, and retrieval capabilities.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in departments like cybersecurity, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment.
• Manage agile delivery through daily stand-ups, two-week sprints, and GitHub project management.
• Provide technical coaching to senior engineers and establish high coding standards for the team.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the long-term roadmap of AI capabilities.
• Ensure system reliability by implementing secure development practices and strengthening CI/CD pipelines.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum eight years of experience designing software and writing production code in a team environment.
• Expertise in at least two of the following: Python, .NET, C#, Node.js, or JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and container orchestration like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in SOLID principles, OOP, SOA patterns, distributed systems, and TDD methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Git branching standards, SQL, large datasets, and ETL processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in Secure Development best practices and leading cross-functional teams through the SDLC.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to lead technical coaching and stakeholder collaboration.
