Staff Software Developer, AI Innovation Team

What you'll do

• Lead the technical direction and expansion of new AI products to support member needs.
• Design and develop scalable, cloud-agnostic systems using Python, AWS, LLMs, and retrieval-based architectures.
• Strengthen underlying AI infrastructure, including data organization, segmentation, and retrieval systems.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in departments like cybersecurity, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment.
• Provide technical coaching to senior engineers and establish coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the long-term roadmap of AI capabilities.
• Apply secure development practices and lead testing efforts to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Manage project lifecycles using GitHub for daily stand-ups, sprint execution, and backlog prioritization.

What we're looking for

• Must be a resident of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, VA, CA, or NC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum eight years of experience designing software and writing production code in a team environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in Secure Development best practices and delivering scalable solutions across multiple languages and environments.
• Expertise in two or more of the following: Python, .NET, C#, node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud) and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity).
• Expertise in SOLID principles, OOP, SOA patterns, distributed systems, TDD, and git branching standards.
• Experience with SQL, large datasets, ETL, and analytics engines.
