Principal Software Engineer, Core Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Architect and lead the development of scalable, elastic distributed systems to meet high-throughput requirements.
• Optimize code and data paths for hyper-scale workloads using data plane platforms for storage and processing.
• Design fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, failover, and rate-limiting to meet SLOs.
• Establish KPIs and telemetry by building proactive dashboards and complex validation tests like fault injection.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues while providing guidance during incident response and root cause investigations.
• Implement security controls, encryption, and access management while maintaining cloud compliance documentation.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation for safe patching, updates, and rollbacks.

What we're looking for

• Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• 6 to 10+ years of experience is required.
• Experience architecting and developing scalable, elastic distributed systems is required.
• Experience optimizing code and data paths for high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads is required.
• Experience designing fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, and failover is required.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation for cloud infrastructure is required.
• Experience implementing security controls, encryption, and access controls in multi-tenant environments is required.
• Experience building telemetry systems, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms is required.
