Principal Program Manager, Cloud Planning

What you'll do

• Lead strategic cloud capacity buffer planning by framing tradeoffs and scenarios for senior leadership.
• Drive executive alignment on buffer strategies, priorities, and decisions across multiple business units.
• Manage monthly planning cycles to generate optimal capacity targets using data analytics and simulations.
• Define the long-term roadmap and operating models for cloud capacity planning transformations.
• Identify and mitigate systemic risks while providing investment recommendations to address structural issues.
• Oversee the development of advanced modeling and analytics in partnership with Data Science teams.
• Establish "north star" metrics to measure buffer effectiveness and hold the organization accountable for outcomes.
• Provide executive decision support by translating complex data into clear narratives and strategic insights.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
• 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
• Proven scientific modeling and decision science expertise (preferred).
• Experience developing quantitative models using Python or R to address complex business challenges (preferred).
• Deep experience with data analysis, visualization, SQL, Python, R, and Power BI (preferred).
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs in ambiguous environments (preferred).
• Experience working with Finance to assess CapEx impacts and investment decisions (preferred).
