As a Principal Cloud Architect, you will define the organization’s cloud strategy while ensuring infrastructure meets specific business and technical requirements. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based architectures across public, private, and hybrid environments to ensure scalability, security, and high availability. Your daily work involves developing adoption plans, selecting appropriate technologies, and optimizing systems for disaster recovery and performance. The role requires a Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect AZ-305 certification and expertise in Azure Shell or PowerShell scripting. You will manage complex solutions involving containers, orchestration, Windows and Linux server architectures, and networked storage. Technical requirements include proficiency with SSO software like AADConnect or Okta, as well as knowledge of application layer protocols. This role solves critical infrastructure challenges by aligning cloud capabilities with organizational goals through innovative systems thinking.
Develop and maintain a cloud strategy aligned with business requirements and technical goals.
Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud architecture across public, private, and hybrid environments.
Define cloud adoption processes to ensure organizational alignment and business continuity.
Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies, platforms, and tools to drive innovation.
Optimize cloud systems for high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure health and performance.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other operational issues.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect AZ-305 certification is required.
10+ years of experience across at least two IT disciplines including cloud architecture, network management, middleware, database management, or operations.
Experience with Azure Shell scripting and PowerShell scripting.
Knowledge of Windows Server (2016, 2019, IIS) and Linux Server architectures (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Amazon Linux).
Experience with containers, orchestration technologies, and high availability solutions like clustering and disaster recovery.
Proficiency with SSO-related software such as AADConnect, ADFS, Ping Identity, Okta, or other SAML/OpenID Connect providers.
Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
