The Principal Platform Software Engineer joins a new engineering team building a platform for Agentic Service Engineering. You will design and deliver core platform capabilities, including agent orchestration, service knowledge, developer workflows, evaluation, and production-grade safety controls. You will own substantial technical components end to end, making architecture decisions and partnering with service teams to turn manual work into reusable platform capabilities. Key responsibilities include leading middleware evolution, enforcing versioning strategies, and driving shared observability baselines. What you'll do

Design and deliver core platform capabilities including agent orchestration, service knowledge, and production-grade safety controls.
Lead the evolution of middleware patterns and runtimes to standardize interoperability at scale.
Define and enforce versioning, deprecation, and rollout strategies to minimize downstream breaks.
Drive shared observability baselines, including SLOs and error budgets, across multiple services.
Develop and optimize scalable software solutions while conducting performance profiling and debugging complex issues.
Implement complex API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to less experienced developers on software architecture and coding standards.
Execute periodic maintenance, testing, and automation to ensure service availability and reliability.

What we're looking for

6 to 10+ years of experience.
Proficiency in Artificial Intelligence.
Experience in Distributed Software Development.
Experience in Platform Development and Software Technology Platforms.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
