Principal Manufacturing Engineering Operations Lead

What you'll do

• Design manufacturing processes, production layouts, and equipment installation procedures for various components.
• Optimize manufacturing performance by expanding process capability and implementing sustainable solutions for safety and quality.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
• Resolve complex manufacturing challenges related to equipment, quality, and overall operational performance.
• Manage capital equipment projects, capacity expansion initiatives, and the implementation of new manufacturing technologies.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes and procedures comply with applicable industry regulations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering staff within the manufacturing organization.
• Oversee the inspection of machinery and tools to investigate and correct any performance deficiencies.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience, a Master's degree with 5 years, or a PhD with 3 years is required.
• For degrees earned outside the U.S., they must satisfy specific federal requirements for international education equivalency.
• Experience in regulated industries such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or electronics is preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing, quality, equipment, or operational issues is preferred.
• Experience implementing process improvements for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, or cost metrics is preferred.
• Experience supporting capital projects, capacity expansion, automation, or manufacturing technology implementations is preferred.
• Experience using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
